CV

As a visual artist and lecturer, I work nationally and internationally.

I have been exhibiting with others or alone for almost 30 years.

Born in a seafaring village near the North Sea, influenced by the landscape and customs there, art took me on voyages of discovery and out into the world. Organised in a loose collective that meets again in ever-changing formations in the most diverse and always wondrous places around the world, residencies and exhibitions, workshops, and lectures take place in exchange with artists and communities.

While traveling, I create installations that reflect the respective environment and its peculiarities. In Berlin, I mostly work in a studio. My works range from a stroll through topographies reminiscent of lichens and mosses or old walls and dust formations to abstract landscapes with swirls of colourful particles and analog and digital light installations that explore the transitions from the invisible to the visible world and vice versa. Recently, I have been creating portraits without model.
